Cookie Policy

This policy explains how Accruveo uses cookies and similar technologies on accruveo.com. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies (such as local storage or pixels) work in comparable ways. They can help a site function, remember your choices, or measure how the site is used.

Our approach

We keep cookies to a minimum. Where we can, we prefer privacy-friendly, cookieless or anonymous measurement that does not identify you. We do not set non-essential cookies — including analytics cookies — until you have given your consent. Until you choose, non-essential cookies stay switched off by default.

Categories we use

CategoryPurposeConsent needed?
Strictly necessary Required for the website to work and to be secure — for example, keeping the site available, balancing load, protecting against malicious traffic, and remembering your cookie choice. No. These are exempt because the site cannot function without them.
Analytics / non-essential Helps us understand how the site is used so we can improve it. We aim to use privacy-friendly, anonymised measurement. These are only enabled if you accept them. Yes. Off by default until you consent.

We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Your choices and how to change them

When you first visit, our consent banner lets you Accept all, Reject non-essential, or open Preferences to choose by category. You can change your mind at any time:

Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it, and it does not affect the lawfulness of anything done before you withdrew.

Rejecting non-essential cookies will not stop you from using the website. It only turns off optional measurement.

How long cookies last

Cookies are either "session" cookies, which expire when you close your browser, or "persistent" cookies, which remain for a set period or until deleted. We keep cookie lifespans as short as is reasonable, and we keep a record of your consent choice only for as long as needed to honour it.

Legal basis

For users in the United Kingdom, we follow the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) together with the UK GDPR. For users in Ireland and the EU, we follow the ePrivacy rules (the ePrivacy Directive as implemented locally, including the Irish ePrivacy Regulations) together with the GDPR. In every market we serve, we apply the same principle: non-essential cookies require your prior consent, and strictly necessary cookies do not.
